Andrea Arena is a graphic designer, illustrator, portrait artist, and caricaturist from Trieste with Sicilian roots. In 2007, he held his first solo exhibition in Capo d’Orlando, his father’s hometown, titled “Faces Are Stories Told,” where he presented to the public his first catalog, “Sand,” featuring all the works on display.

After several years, he returned with his “The RUST AND OXIDE Collection,” in which he explores time and its transformative process on new works: sensual figures attacked by rust and a slow, hypnotic process of oxidation. The collection aims to portray, on large formats, the fascination of time’s transformative — rather than destructive — effect on life.
